Reviews for KANPAI BBQ Hotpot Buffet
Review highlights
Based on 244 reviewsKANPAI BBQ Hotpot Buffet is frequently praised for its modern, clean, and comfortable ambiance, making it an appealing spot for family and group gatherings. Customers appreciate the unique combination of hotpot, Korean BBQ, and buffet-style dining, with a varied selection spanning appetizers, seafood, desserts, and sauces. The quality of meats and hotpot bases generally receives positive remarks, noted for their fresh and lightly seasoned flavors. The use of technology such as iPad ordering and robotic food delivery enhances the convenience and service experience. While some diners mention that the buffet options can feel somewhat limited or basic compared to other venues, overall, the restaurant is viewed as offering good value for its pricing and attentive, friendly service.
To be honest, I was a little bit disappointed. The restaurant is nicely decorated — clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and polite, and the overall service was pleasant. However, as a buffet, the food selection was quite limited, especially compared to other similar buffets. The hot food options were very basic — things like stir-fried noodles, shrimp with broccoli, and a few other staples. The deep fried soft shell crab is recommended. The desserts and drink options were more abundant, which was nice, but many of the beverages came with extra charges, which felt a bit unexpected for a buffet experience. Overall, it was an okay visit, but I expected more variety for the price.
Came here recently on a Thursday night and luckily it wasn’t too packed—got a booth for two. Cute decor inside! Server was great, but they also have the robots that bring food to your table, and you use mainly use an iPad to order. The buffet area had lots of food options (veggies, fried foods, noodles, salads, sauces, seafood, desserts, etc). My mother and I got the Big Hot Pot which allows you to get two different broths split separately but in one big pot—highly recommend the Laksa Soup (coconut curry flavor) but the Original Soup was okay too if you prefer a milder, less spicy soup base. All the Shabu Shabu vegetables, meat and seafood were fresh. I also tried the BBQ and ordered some Ribeye Steak, Marinated Galbi and Brisket—wasn’t a huge fan of any of them, lacked flavor even the Galbi, but decent portion size. Overall, good place if you’re in a hungry mood and want a variety of different food options—also, dinner was $45 per person, all you can eat, which I think is reasonable.
Great all-you-can-eat hotpot and BBQ This place offers hotpot, Korean BBQ, and buffet all in one — perfect for family or friends to enjoy together. The environment is beautifully decorated and spacious. The food was decent, and we loved how many options there were. Definitely a nice spot for gatherings!
Great value for $45 per person for dinner. Weekend they do all day dinner. With so much appetizers and good selection of sauces for dipping. iPad order for foods which is very convenient , except for drinks. Delicious hotpot base and quality meats. Meats are lightly marinated allow customers to taste original meat flavor without masking it with heavy sauce. Soft shell crab was yummy, not a fan of the crab legs. Wonderful dessert selections, love the mango sticky rice and pumpkin coconut soup. Bright and open interior. Friendly and efficient service. Parking can be a bit tight especially during dinner time. Definitely recommend.
great hot pot and BBQ place! there is also a buffet full of appetizers and desserts (crab legs, crawfish, mango sticky rice, curry, egg tarts, ice cream, cheesecake, etc.) quality of meats were OK, tasted good. unlimited thai tea too! service was AMAZING! very quick, attentive, and friendly. paid $45 per person, which is a fair price for how much they offer. would recommend coming here for sure! better than KPOT.
Great location and service. There are a lot of options of BBQ and hot pot. BBQ meat marinade so tasty. Everything they had was so fresh and crispy! good quality. $28 lunch buffet- all you can eat including drink that is Worth.
Our server, Vanessa, stood out. She guided us through the ordering system, patiently explained the hot-pot and BBQ processes, and proactively topped up plates and checked for needs. Vanessa’s attentiveness was well-timed and genuine—it contributed significantly to an elevated experience.
